Purdue Police investigating reported burglary

Incident information

Employees there reported at least 15 thefts from the building that have occurred between March 2-12. It is believed the reports are connected. The criminal investigations unit has determined that at least two of the burglaries were committed by a University employee who has subsequently been terminated. The cases have been turned over to the Tippecanoe County Prosecutor’s Office for charging review.

Burglary is a Class C felony, which can result in 2-8 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.00.

Students and staff are reminded to keep all valuables secured in their room or office and promptly report any missing items to the Purdue University Police Department.
